Recently, I was sorting through all my London photos and realised I didn’t have many shots from Shoreditch and Hoxton. It’s an area north of Liverpool Station, an old working class neighbourhood that’s slowly being taken over by posh hipsters and wealthy artists. You can find (what feels like) thousands of shops to get your caffeine hit or try the latest foodie fad eg. raw kale wraps. However I wasn’t interest in that… I was much more interested in the graffiti and old industrial architecture.
On a June morning, I set out to correct my embarrassing lack of east London photographs. I got off at Old Street Station and walked east towards Shoreditch and Hoxton’s high streets. In total, I spent around two or three hours wandering random streets and alleyways. I lost track of time about 20 minutes into the adventure.
