I’m learning the art of constructing a travel blog. Descriptions should be clear and concise. The purpose of the article should remain the same throughout. No rambling or extra words. Proper grammar is mandatory. However, I often discover errors weeks after publishing (Sorry, Mum).
And then there are the photographs. This is the real crème de la crème of the blog (Also, avoid cliche expressions. Oops). What is the perfect number of pictures to upload? How will the layout look on a desktop vs. mobile?
Lastly, image layout is very very crucial. A visual story needs to be told. There should be a beginning, middle and end. Multiple subtitles and explanations shouldn’t be required. Remember, the viewer hasn’t necessarily visited this landmark or city. Start big and go small, establish the landscape and then focus on the detail. And in my opinion, always try to end with a noteworthy photograph.
