I know you have all been secretly (and not so secretly) wanting to stalk more of my photos from Pakistan. So here you go! This is the first batch of images ready for your viewing pleasure.
Where? Faisal Mosque in Islamabad
When? I forget but I’m pretty sure it was a Tuesday or Wednesday around 1pm.
How? My husband’s family/ friends took my parents, uncle and sister on a tour. We made sure to dress appropriately and took off our shoes at the entrance… Very similar to if you visited any famous old English cathedral.
Why? The mosque is hugely influential to Islamic architecture. It defines the word ‘epic’ in every sense. And it cost over $120 billion to build in the 1970’s. If you are in Islamabad, there is no excuse not to visit the Faisal Mosque.
